Description

Hannah Horvath (Lena Dunham) and her girlfriends continue to hunt for success--creatively, professionally, and romantically--in New York City and beyond in Season 4 of the hit HBO comedy series. This season, Hannah leaves New York to attend the prestigious Iowa Writers' Workshop, while confronting uncertainty in her relationship with Adam (Adam Driver). Meanwhile, Marnie (Allison Williams) pursues a music career while balancing her professional and romantic relationship with Desi (Ebon Moss-Bachrach); Shoshanna (Zosia Mamet) graduates and begins interviewing for jobs while sorting out her relationship with Ray (Alex Karpovsky); and Jessa (Jemima Kirke) is trying out sobriety through AA, though her ability to stir up drama remains undiminished.

I have no idea why this doesn’t get better stars. Well written, funny, great characters, real. Adam Driver - always amazing. I’ve rushed to finish this as I’m a few days away from 40 weeks pregnant and I didn’t want to miss an episode.

I personally LOVE this show! I love Lena’s work and I really hope there’s more to come from her. When I watch the shows I feel connected to the characters. I can relate to the show not to mention it’s funny. What more could you ask for?

Season 4 is probably my favorite season of this show after the first one. The storyline of every character is actually pretty good here as so the writing and plot development. Highly recommended.

This season certainly lived up to the tag line. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the girls tackle new topics this season and the more serious tone for Hannah was a welcome change. I look forward to seeing what the future of this series holds.

Not all people are continuously interesting, witty and beautiful in real life. Neither are all the characters in this show. I like that this show has an element of realism, even amongst the over the top drama sometimes! Great character development and hilarious facial expressions. I am thoroughly entertained by this show and I am in love with Adam!
  • Gets worse every season...

This show is getting worse every season, it went from an interesting ensemble to a show where Lena is featuring herself more and more and now it’s just plain unbearable. She is the least interesting character, followed by her dull talentless real life friend who plays Jemma, and all the interesting people who really made the show popular in the first place are barely featured, except in explicit scenes for shock value. The self important person Lena has become in real life now shows through on the structure of the show to the point where it’s painful to watch, yet I still do just for the glimpses of the true talent of Adam Driver, Zosia Mamet, and Allison Williams.
