The only movie I can think of where you weep over the term, Legendary Ram-Jam! Seriously? Yeah surprisingly seriously 😒! Mickey Rourke as Randy the Ram Robinson is one of the most amazing performances of the decade!

This is an excellent movie all around...writing, directing, acting, etc...a very well done movie.

A movie that I am able to see over and over and enjoy it. Hope there is a second part.

10/10 The Wrestler is one of the most honest, genuine, and realistic movies I’v seen ever, period. It tells the heartbreaking tale of a New Jersey wrestler Randy, as he copes with his growing love for a stripper and his heart problems. He’s broke, so broke in fact that he can’t even pay for his trailer and has to go to pay phones every time he wants to make a call. When he has a heart attack after a match his doctor says he can’t wrestle anymore. So, with his career basically over, Randy tries to rekindle his relationship with his estranged daughter. Things don’t go very well. Im not going to spoil it for you because I think you should definatly see it. Darren Arronosky really shows the talents that have gained him a massive cult audience. Wonderful, wonderful movie.

Mickey Rourke puts in the performance of a lifetime. The story of this tragically flawed hero is captivating and emotionally-charged. The documentary feel to the filmmaking is awesome, adding so much to the feel of the film. Impressively made and written. The lack of resolution is fitting, yet could have been a bit less melodramatic and provided some measure of finality to the story. Still, a really incredible movie that is a must see.

Yes Mickey Rourke did a good job..... For the parts I could pry my eyelids open for. I tried watching this move three nights in a row,and fell asleep every time.

It's easy to garner so much praise on Mr. Rourke for this role. He is in every scene and doesn't waste a single one of them. Some of us remember him in Diner and Angel Heart and know what he's capable of... it came as no surprise. But there was a lot more to this film, including Mr. Aronofsky's direction, Marisa Tomei in her best performance ever (including My Cousin Vinny) and a stellar soundtrack. This movie should have done WAY better at the Oscars. Truly snubbed.

An emotional roller coaster set in a realistic and gritty world created by choice and cosequence. I loved this movie for it's substance and depth diquised in what SEEMS like a straight forward plot. Can't imagine anyone else pulling off this role as Rourke did. Too many people get stuck on aesthetics in movies. Look deeper and you'll discover what an emotional powerhouse of a movie this is and how Rourke absolutely nailed the role. As for the ending, good movies always leave some part to the imaginiation. Great, Great, Great, Great movie.
