Bad acting, overdone story, kids constantly yelling (guaranteed to alienate any parents in the audience) and Martin Short's constant yelling just makes it worse. the dual-role twin thing loses credibility very quickly, plus the music is absolutely non-stop to the point of being exhausting.

Wow, I watched this movie last night on Sunday at home and it was a great Fiction movie. Those monsters were from the book and it was a good movie to watch.

This is still my number 1 favorite movie. Doesn't matter what age you are, I'm 16 and I still love watching it. This was my childhood movie, so sad that they didn't make a second One, it's worth watching it
