Greta Gerwig was hardly believable. I felt like her character was drawn out. I was expecting this to be such a great movie because I love Greta, but I was disappointed and bored..

The script was on target, but needed work. I can see why it is was directed by the writer. This need MORE cooks in the kitchen. There went another price of a cocktail😳😡👏🏼

One of those constant Manhattan-is-so-supergreat-and-WE-ARE-so-supergreat-and-tough-and-you’re-just-a-villager-from-New-Jersey-movies. Dull, tedious, jejune, especially for people living in Manhattan. Lola Kirke outplays Greta Gerwig with ease. A fact that surprised me.

...it's truly a sadness to attach such esteem and accolades to an actress (Gerwig) who does little more than behave like a 14 year old hormonal boy.
  • way better than Frances Ha!

I cracked up throughout this whole film, the script is hilarious, and I loved Greta Gerwig’s portrayal of Brooke. I couldn’t wait to watch it a second time. This character is someone an audience member will either love or hate, she’s of a very particular flavor, so the experience of watching her will be very a personalized one. This film is nearly infinitely quotable. It has the potential to reach a “Breakfast Club”-like cult status. It moves quickly and riffs on hipsters in ways that make me laugh at myself. I didn’t care for Frances Ha, that character drove me nuts, personally, so I approached this one with skepticism, but I totally love it! Might have to throw a party and watch it with friends.
