It's a decent premise. The graphics and production are good for tv. But the story, like so many recent tv sci-fi series, is just Peyton Place in the future, very soap operaish and littered with cliches, eye-rolling corniness and inexcusable inconsistencies. The cast for the most part is an interchangeable tv cast with poor to mediocre acting chops, who don't offer much reason to care about their characters, despite all the melodrama they go through. I'm a sci-fi geek and I'll try any series, but so many disappoint so quickly that I can't stick with them. I gave this one the better part of season 1, grimly defiant of the odds, and then added this one to the long list that includes Falling Skies, Agents of SHIELD, Fringe, Revolution and others too numerous.

Pretty much standard SyFy fare although the actors are pretty good. Not much background on exactly what happened but that appears to be coming in small bits. Only thing I'm struggling with is St. Louis which was buried by terraforming and still exists in a large cavern. So how is it the arch is still up on the surface?

  • No connection

The characters are shallow and one dimensional, the premise weak and unconvincing, and a plot that meanders from outright ridiculous to boring.

I've watched this show when it was premiered and never thought it would turn out to be an addicting show to watch. I got my mother hooked on it as well and can't wait till the second season premiere in June. Also the game is addicting as well, I've been playing it before the show.

This series surprised me from the opening scene of the pilot until I caught the gist of the story line , and liked it. I purchased the season , and look forward to the next season. Acting , and Special effects , and other production contributions , I feel , are first rate for A TV series. Exciting and fun to watch .

The story line is interesting, but its been done before. I watched the whole series in two days, and was left wanting more. I hope the writers develop the plots in an interesting manner to keep people watching. An interesting topic is that Nolan is always apologizing for messing up, pretty much the human trait in all of us.
