As a RN for 28 years I am all to familiar with the dynamics that most people are unaware of that happen to the entire family when a devastating illness like cancer occurs. For once we are presented with both the good, and the frightening consequences of a major illness on not only the patient, but the family as well. I cannot think of a more realistic portrayal of what happens through the course of the disease process. I am sad to see that the The Big C: Hereafter is not available on iTunes, for those of us who are dedicated fans of this show, it provides closure and a profound sense of relief that Cathy has finally come to the end of her long journey in a dignified and peaceful way with just a touch of seeking spirituality, and inner peace before leaving this earth on her eternal journey. Although the series centers around the family dynamics of a cancer patient, I think the tombstone for Thomas the dog sums up what we all want to be remembered for at the end of our life. He/She LIVED, just add your own personal memories to that line, what more can we ask for?

No subtiles, no closed captioned. Waste of money to spend to watch and have no idea what they're talking about.

Great show! Realistic, quirky, and a great script. This show has a great writer; it's both funny and (only a little) sad with incredible acting performances. The show consistently demands your attention and is thankfully NOT predictable. At all. Which is hard to achieve lately. Big C might have more of a female audience but is perfectly enjoyable and caters to both sexes. If you're going to watch it, start from season 1!
