Description

Season 5 opens with two special back-to-back episodes, as Josh Gates and his team lead viewers on a chase into one of the world’s biggest caves in the jungles of Vietnam to search for Bigfoot. Then, at the overwhelming request of fans, they’ll travel to Romania for a return visit to the haunted Hoia Bachu Forest, the site of their most terrifying investigation to date, and then explore the reportedly haunted Mayan ruins of Tikal in pursuit of a monster known as the Belize Goblin. They'll also lead viewers into a remote Transylvanian village on a hunt for vampires and journey to Kazakhstan (a "Destination Truth" first) to search for the legendary Kazakh monster. "Destination Truth" is executive produced by Brad Kuhlman for Ping Pong Productions ("1000 Places to See Before You Die," "Celebrity Rehab," "FM Nation").

If it is true that SyFy isn't going to renew Destination Truth, I believe that is a big financial mistake. This program is very, very popular and not because they capture paranormal activity all of the time, but because they DEBUNK most tales and myths. The History that is taught from all over the world. Josh Gates and Team are funny and cool things said. I have purchased every season just because it is a interesting, history taught and a very cool program. bad decision SyFy.

I really did enjoyed this season and am glad that I bought it. Even though I think that it's a drag that this is all they made of the show and did not renew it, I still think that it's a great show. And for all of you Josh Gates fans; if you want to see more of him and hear more of his funny humor, I recommend that you watch the latest show that he's hosting called Expedition Unknown. You will enjoy it.

This is a great show in so many ways! I love the stories, the locations, the cast and crew, the cutlures, the adventure, and the intrigue that this show delivers in each and every episode of every season! Josh Gates is among my absolute favorite tv hosts/personalities of all time and I highly recommend this and all other Josh Gates projects! This show is a must watch for any one who loves adventure, the supernatural, travel, exploring other cultures, amazing storytelling, witty humor, or to any one who just loves good, solid, well made and highly entertaining tv shows!

Whatever you may be thinking, this series is anything but what the title implies. The actors run around the globe, there are yells and frightful jumping about, but nothing is ever found. Oh, there is a lot of finger pointing off into the night, large shapes moving around somewhere, and movement of the team via various modalities. I suppose the success of several similar TV shows looking for the abnormal, paranormal or subnormal gave this mess another season. Spare yourself some agony and go have your bypass done instead of watching this pile of dung.
  • It's a joke!

I honestly can't stop thinking how they always find something, even though they never catch what they claim to see/hear on tape! another bad thing is every time we are meant (or maybe not) to hear something, there is background music. Again it makes me wonder if it's a "cover" for something that aint there. And some of the sound they catch on tape is clearly just a bird, and its not fully analyzed. For me it seems to be a group of bad actors on a low budget, who never question themselves but only tries to make "The Blair Witch Past" live once again.

Great show, glad to see it return. The perfect mix of humor and seriousness. This show is definitely unique among the pantheon of paranormal investigation shows. It's more like a cultural exploration travel show with a little bit of "Bizarre Foods" in each episode, along with at least one mode of terribly dangerous and/or comical transportation, and then of course, the serious investigation. Definitely hitting its stride full force so far this season. I can't recommend it enough to fans of the paranormal genre, or even just fans of travel/adventure type shows.

Well here comes a new season of Destination Truth and you know they are not going to find any monster, and someone will end up getting hurt most of the time , Ryder the Blonde. But Josh Gates adds with his crew a lot of Comedy. No one is a real comdian but they all work together and make their trip all over the world as fun as possible. I enjoy seeing Josh make up his jokes as they travel. It's all in good fun Not too be taken too seriously. I do not advise anyone try and talk with the dead. What we need is a group like this to travel around the world and show the sites all over, with the comedy of course.

Looks like the best season to date, it was worth the longer wait between seasons. Hope to see it last much longer.
