Description

Season 4 kicks off with the Warehouse Team still reeling from the shocking events of the climactic season three finale – the loss of Agent Steve Jinks (Aaron Ashmore), Mrs. Frederic (CCH Pounder), H.G. Wells (Jaime Murray) and the destruction of the Warehouse itself. Their only hope lies in racing to the other side of the Earth to hunt down an obscure artifact, which may or may not even exist – and if it does exist, what consequences will they face for using it? The most successful series in Syfy history, Warehouse 13 follows a team of government agents who work at a massive, top-secret storage facility in windswept South Dakota which houses every strange artifact, mysterious relic, fantastical object and preternatural souvenir ever collected by the U.S. government. The Warehouse’s caretaker Artie Nielsen (Saul Rubinek) charges Pete Lattimer (Eddie McClintock), Myka Bering (Joanne Kelly) and Claudia Donovan (Allison Scagliotti) with chasing down reports of supernatural and paranormal activity in search of new objects to cache at the Warehouse, as well as helping him to control the Warehouse itself. Sam Huntington ("Being Human") will be among the star-studded array of season 4 guest stars.

  • A capstone to the series

The first half of season 4 is magnificent. Individually, the episodes are as good as ever, and the season arc is brilliant and perfectly executed. This is the promise of Warehouse 13 made good. Unfortunately, the middle of season 4 marks the point where they started to run out of ideas. The second half fumbles around a bit, never quite finding its groove, but also never entirely falling apart. And of course, the Buffy geek in me has to give a few bonus points for getting James Marsters and Tony Head on the same screen one more time.

That's what it comes down to. If you watched Eureka, you already know a little of what you're in for: a creative blend of real world information and speculation. The atmosphere of Warehouse 13 shares one with Eureka, since they shared some of the same writers during Eureka's run. You'll start to feel warm and welcome. The cast, the plots, and the characters will somehow manage to recreate the comfortable feeling of being at home, and the series never loses that atmosphere even in its darker moments. If you want something to cheer you up, this is your show, and season 4 is when the show realizes its potential.

Love this show! I'd like to see more of the endless wonder. It would be great if Syfy decide not to cancel Warehouse 13...there're sooo many reasons to keep this show!

I watched season 1 - loved it, season 2 the sillys and the Hollywood agenda kicked in, but it was still enjoyable. seaslon three, some good moments, not enough, and more agenda - season 4 -watch sparingly - more of the same,, but no chemistry left- nada. Must be going for a niche audience as this fiasco runs down. After RUNAWAY I am done. I shall run away. This thing is on its last legs - thank goodness, or more appropriatlyly - badness.

Ouch, I like this show but "runaway" left a lot to be desired.

I've enjoyed Warehouse 13 from the start, but felt that the show really hit its stride in Season 2…and that it's been getting better since. It's smart, well-written, and beautifully portrayed television. The family dynamics are fun to watch from Artie & Claudia's alternatively touching and mocking father-daughter relationship to Pete & Myka's love-hate sibling partnership. I love the fact that the two leads, Pete and Myka, AREN'T playing the classic (and boring) will-they-won't-they card. They're loving, supportive, hilarious partners, but that's all they are, and they're both happy with that. It's refreshing to find a TV show where men and women really can be just friends, and that Pete respects Myka as a woman and a professional--even if he does hit on every other woman who crosses his path. Myka's will-they-won't-they relationship with the enigmatic and eminently cool steampunk HG Wells (the lovely Jaime Murray) is the other reason I can't stop watching. Murray steals the scene every time she's on screen, and they're even more fun to watch than Rizzoli & Isles--smart women working together to save the world is hot. Pete comes along for comic relief.
