Description

In the show's first season, we're introduced to Steven and Elyse Keaton's fun loving, wild and dynamic family. Steven finds out his father has a fatal illness ("I Never Killed for My Father"), 15-year-old Mallory deals with unwelcome male attention ("Give Your Uncle a Kiss"), and 17-year-old Alex learns a lesson about responsibility when he loses nine-year-old Jennifer while babysitting ("The Fifth Wheel"). Guest stars include Bewitched's Dick Sargent as Elyse's father, Charlie ("No Nukes Is Good Nukes"), and a lanky Tom Hanks as her brother, Ned (two-part episode "The Fugitive").

As a kid, I watched these when they originally aired, and remembered liking them. So, I decided to see if my memory was genuine or nostalgia. Unfortunately, it seems it was nostalgia. In general, they were OK, but not worth $20, in my opinion, especially given you can purchase the first season of a show like Cheers for $15.

I enjoyed watching this show in the Eighties when I was in High School… Great price for Standard Definition seasons ($19.99) I'm waiting for HD, so I don't have to double dip!
  • Best show ever!

Finally, I can't believe it's here on iTunes! This is the best show ever created! The characters are all funny and unique, the episodes are always memorable, and it is timeless! I'm only 15 years old, and this is my favorite show of all time! Don't just stop at season 1 though! Buy every episode!

This TV show is a timeless treasure for any family looking for a laugh. In every episode are worthy life lessons taught through heart-warming scripts acted by talented, inspiring comedic actors/actresses! Just as Super-Nanny is a look at what not to do as a parent, Family Ties give us direction at what a functional, yet imperfect family should look like. EVERYONE will enjoy watching Family Ties and should experience each of the Keaton's hilarious life-lessons with their own family.
