Description

The Fabric of the Cosmos, a four-hour series based on the book by renowned physicist and author Brian Greene, takes us to the frontiers of physics to see how scientists are piecing together the most complete picture yet of space, time, and the universe. With each step, audiences will discover that just beneath the surface of our everyday experience lies a world we’d hardly recognize—a startling world far stranger and more wondrous than anyone expected.

  • A pill that is tough to swallow.

While this show has good points and is informative in the whole, the last bit would be a stretch to call a "theory". Refresh my memory, how many parallel universes are we up to now?

Greene does a great job of explaining the insanely complicated in a way that anyone can understand, and makes it very entertaining. I would never have been able to grasp and understand as much about physics in this detail, by trying to learn it from a text book. If I could give it more stars I would! I can't recommend it enough, well done NOVA.
  • Great audio listening as well.

In addition to fascinating video, I find myself listening to audio only as I fall asleep . . . except I know the beginnings quite well - not so much the endings.

A very entertaining and informative look at some otherwise complicated scientific theories.

I've only watched the first free episode, but I returned tonight to buy the next three and eagerly look forward to watching them as well. Thought provoking and well explained. I walked away from the first episode with a much better view of physics and why it matters. If I'd had a teacher like this in high school I'd have been early to every class! Not light entertainment…but, entertaining television that makes you think. So good that I'm writing my first review here ever to praise it.

This series takes physics and the universe to a whole new unkown and uncharted area! It really gives you a new perspective on how things you take for granted in everyday life. You will never look up at the stars in the same way again.... Loved it!
  • Mind-blowing!

If you enjoy science or find yourself wondering about topics discussed in The Big Bang Theory, watch this series. It is the kind of thing I will watch twice…after I put my brain back together from the first watch. The ideas are changing my perception of the world around me…in a good way!

Brian Greene presents very complex ideas in a way that most of us can understand. A very well produced series. Highly recommended for anyone interested in Physics and Cosmology.
