  • More about Watchers than immortals

This season really develops the apocalyptic change in the Watchers and how it affects Duncan's friend, Joe Dawson, the leader of the good side of the Watchers. But there are still superb cinematography, action, and intelligent storylines. Starting with the beautifully-filmed Homeland, in which we find out more about Duncan's past and why he still clings to Clan MacLeod, through the loss of another great friend, to the Dark Quickening that temporarily turns Duncan evil, to Methos' attempt to make his girlfriend immortal, ending with the final battles between Good and Evil (including both Watchers and immortals on both sides), there's a lot of action this season.

I have this series on VHS and loved watching it during its prime. I'm happy to see the digital version at a price one can afford. This show is true to the movies, but on a smaller scale. The relationships developed by the main characters over the first four seasons were realistic and the personality of Duncan was much like Connor's. I'm sure anyone who enjoyed the movies and likes the premise will enjoy this show.
