I love this show. Love these characters. I wish it had gone on longer. Season 2 is just as good if not better than 1 ;) Love Callum and Mandy!

This show was the best I have seen in a long, long time. It had a great story, actors, and was canceled WAY to early. Dead Like Me needs to come back!!! There was no reason to cancel it.

I caught an late night episode of this and bought the two seasons the next day. It's a shame the show cancelled out. This is really well written and entertaining. It's amazing to me how the best shows fall through the cracks of TV world and the crap stays on so long that you hate to turn the set on. Worth the money if you got it to spend.

I cannot say enough about the originality of this series. Very entertaining and the series itself has an afterlife of its own since it was discontinued. even the music embraced the show soulfully. Ellen Muth gave a flawless performance always showing the conflicts of emotion her character George had to endure and with lovingly dark humor to enhance it. BRAVO!ENCORE!
  • Fantastic show

I only recently discovered this show and am totally hooked. I've seldom seen tv shows that so wonderfully swing from biting humor to subtle humor to sadness, siliness so well within a single show. The writers were brilliant and gave the actors room to really flesh in their characters. What a shame that it was cancelled after only two seasons. It's a fantastic show and worth every penny.

Dead Like Me, the 1 & 1/2 season series from Showtime, was truly an EXCELLENT show that was "reaped" before its time... This show was done by the same writers that did Pushing Daisies (another show that's been flying under the radar of most, but has a cult following much like this series) -- They're both dark, quirky comedies that manage to pull off that fine balance between being a bit macabre and being innovative, funny, engaging and even remotely believable. I had friends that watched this show (we didn't get Showtime, but they did, so I caught it while visiting w/them) and started watching in season 2.. Got hooked, then severely disappointed when it ended abruptly -- went back to season 1 & watched from the beginning. While I'm personally more fond of season 2, both seasons are interesting & enjoyable. If you're looking for something different, check this series out. Season 2 also has a guest appearance/performance by Gavin Degraw, singing his 'hit single' Chariot. (He's not just there to sing; he plays a street musician that winds up being one of George's 'appointments'.) P.S. They're putting out a movie to pick up where this show left off (more or less) straight to DVD, scheduled to come out around Feb 17th. Keep an eye out if you're a fan! :) Lets hope it sells well enough to warrant another network to pick the show up & get back into production!
