Description

When Dory (Alia Shawkat) learns that Chantal, a girl she barely knew in college, has gone missing, she becomes fixated on the mystery.     I don't laugh out loud at TV shows very often but every episode of this series had an unexpected event that completely cracked me up. The supporting characters are all a little quirky and I couldn't wait to see what happened next. I binge watched it one Saturday and have purchased Season 2. Watch this show.

    I purchesed the 1st episode on iTunes, at least the one marked '1', at the top of the list of videos for the 1st season. Found out it was infact the last one of the season - big screw up iTunes!!! Great show but I'm not going to back watch it.

    Just out of curiosity I began the first eposide, for FREE. Got through 5 mins. This could seriously cause brain damage? Having never enjoyed sit com deleriums, I found this at the far end of the spectrum of: ho-hum-I-cannot-believe-anyone-would-watch-this-unless-they-were-actually-like-this. Is this what human beings — living in New York — become? This show perfectly reflects human devolution. Not only would it take soemone devolved to laugh at this, but if this truly represents the next generation of urban Americans, then it makes the threat of a global comet disaster — with ground zero centered on New York — seem like an act of Nature intended to promote Homo sapien evolutionary survival!

    im suggesting this show to friends simply becasue of Alia. its a quality show, well written, and has an unexpectedly nice soundtrack. but Alia - she's developed into such a strong actress, and holds the lead in this show with nuance. I also recommend watching her in a recent commerical for Derek Lam's 10 Crosby fragrance, if you have the chance.

    Such a pitch-perfect skewering of my generation in a way that Girls doesn't quite nail, and Broad City lampoons to such heights as to get tiring. The jokes are sometimes subtle, but they're there, and they're hilarious, if you've got the right sensibility for them.
