Def worth watching

Renner never disappoints, and shines in this. I think a stronger script would've proven a more notable performance, but he did the best he could. Solid supporting cast too. Good score.

Well acted with a great cast. Nonetheless, the storyline is sad, depressing and disturbing - which is ultimately not entertaining for me.
Great Story but Very Sad

The sad thing about this story is that in 2015 it would not be that big of a story and the actions that had taken place back then is fairly common place and would not shock any one today. It was really sad to see what Gary Webb had to go through.
Great film

I've yet to see a Michael Cuesta film that disappoints. This one walks a fine line but resolves I compromised.

Read Gary Webb's stuff on the internet years ago about Guns, Cocaine, CIA and Nicaragua. I think it gives younger people a look at how corrupt our govt. can get. Watched the Iran-Contra hearings while they were on years ago and this film explains how they raised some of the money to buy the weapons.
It's a good film and moves along ok so it isn't boring but you have to pay attention so you understand who the players are. Good cast. I'd recommend it to a friend to watch but not sure to buy.
One of the year's best

Has always supported terrorists, from Moscow to Havana to Nicaragua they have sided with the bad people. To this day.
Exciting plot, but still pretty boring

Spent most of the movie in brief moments of excitement, followed by what felt like hours of boredom. Granted it's a cool story though.
One of the most underrated films of 2014...

I still don't understand why this film wasn't nominated for an Oscar. In any event, the film was fantastic and very informative for someone who was too young to remember the incident (like me). Though the film takes place in the 90's, the subject matter is extremely relevant today, which is why I found the movie to be so enjoyable. It also really makes you think and question, well...everything. This film is also the best performance of Jeremy Renner's career, so far. He truly becomes Gary Webb in an epic, powerful, and raw performance.
