Makes you actually care about the public figures from 100 yrs ago. Some of the incidents are disturbingly similar to today (Standard Oil and GM's campaign to promote leaded gas as "Ethyl" (not mentioning the word Lead, for example). Issues of worker's rights, corruption, politicians colluding with industry coverups, etc, are touched upon. Norris and Gettler are two apparent heroes I had never heard of. If you were fascinated by Dr. Omalu's story in "Concussion," you'll be intrigued by the early use of forensic science to uncover murders and cover-ups.

I caught this on PBS and you will not believe the tie in to the corruption of the oil companies and the prohibition which was a total failure, a lie and actually was responsible for thousands of deaths. Birth of forensic scientists and the FDA. Say what you will about government regulation, this will open your eyes.
