One of my generations calling cards.

Not so often does a film talk a generation, about their lives and become a cult classic. kevin Smith is a writer and director who saw the world around him and places it on screen, in a smart and funny interpretation of life as he saw it.
Though many seem to scoff at this instalment of the Smith films (Other films of his, as often happens with director/writers, have missed the mark quite substancially, yet every one is worthy of viewing, even Jersey Girl) This is a quirky take on the Grunge lifestyle of the early 90's, love, friendship, and the love of the shopping mall.
Kevin's influence by Richard Linklater's Slacker is evident in this film. This is one of those films that is best watched with the rest of the Smith films in the order they were made. Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, and finally Clerks II.
