This movie is such an underrated gem, and a must-see in my opinion. Its one of the few serious, but good, movies that Jim Carrey rarely ever did in his career.. Its a very sweet and just feel-good movie. Watch it just once at least! I hope you’ll like it!

one of my all time favorite movies . the majestic theater is a symbolic mirror of the town it sits in . a run down , one time beautiful building that is in severe need of renovation . Careys charecter stumbles into town after a car accident , a man with amnesia and a mistaken identity , restores hope and faith into this small town that has lost so many of its young to the war . and as the town is growing back , so is the majestic . such a wonerful story . such a wonerful movie

A wonderful movie with characters you grow to love. It's one of those movies I didn't want to end. If you like movies like It's a Wonderful Life and The Best Years of Our Lives, you should try this very sweet movie. It shows a side of Jim Carrey's acting I never thought present to this degree. It's surprising how few people know about this special movie. One of my all-time favorites.

A character driven movie much like Frank Capra's moviemaking. Deep and diverse character development wound in a beautiful story. Individual roles are not only functional means to an end. Each role becomes an important and roots itself in Peters' journey. Very refreshing to have this type of filmaking brought back. Obviously Rotten Tomatoes doesn't have the patience for this film.

This has to be one of the most underrated movies ever. It is simply one of my favorite movies.

Whoever the critics are that say this movie is rotten... They are rotten. This is Jim Carrey's greatest and most captivating film he has ever done. The story is heartwarming and exciting. Yes, Carrey is not a goof in this film but that is why this film is so important to his acting career! He shows that he can do more than just comedy... He can play a very convincing "normal" character too! Watch this movie, buy this movie, you won't be disappointed.
