Description

Narrated by Laurence Fishburne, EVERYDAY SUNSHINE charts the turbulent history of the pioneering all-Black rock band Fishbone. From the streets of South-Central to Hollywood punk clubs and stages around the world, Fishbone rose to become one of the most original bands of the past 25 years—their influence discernible in many of today’s biggest pop acts. An effortlessly entertaining tale of artists following their own creative paths with punk rock endurance in the face of personality conflicts, family and financial woes, and an unforgiving music industry.

With a little over 10 minutes left to go, I was hoping this movie would somehow, magically, never end............ and so, my love for this band and their music never will.

Wow! I am very happy with my purchase after watching this Documentary. This truly captures the essence that Fishbone is and everything they have been bringing to the table since they formed in 1979. I know this is one that I will be watching over and over!

It's great to finally see the best band ever to get some due light, however this doc failed enormously by not one mention, video, live performance etc of fishbone's hands down best album "In Your Face".. It's like they skipped an entire era that shaped their eclectic crowd and peak musically. Too much time spent on the new fishbone experience and not what die hard fans like myself know as Fishbone.

Extremely well put together film, with a phenomenal story on a band, who everyone should know, but doesn't. Great stories, music, and sense of humor throughout the film.

One of the best music documentaries I have ever seen! It describes the band's history from its formation to the present day and its place in the music pantheon. It also discusses the fact that despite being wildly popular and hugely influential Fishbone never quite made it and what this meant to the band's members, including one who ends up living with his mother. The film also places the band squarely in in the socio-historic context of the 80s and 90s. There are fascinating comments from other musicians (think No Doubt and Chili Peppers). Settle back and enjoy this one. 5 stars. - Sinafile.

The influence of Fishbone can best be seen in this awesome documentary. The caliber of the musicians alone that were interviewed in this doc shows the credibility of Fishbone in the music world. One of the most underrated bands out there, it is great to see Fishbone overcome the countless obstacles to make it as a band through all these years.
