Green Lantern: Emerald Knights

this is a good GL story. Very good animation.

I love comic books, superheroes and science fiction. I love sharing it with my family even more. But when the whole experience is ruined but swear words rittled uselessly through a PG movie, it makes me never want to trust DC comics or WP productions intros again. Very disappointed.

why are the reviews for this movie from people that no comic fan would ever take seriously? and why does one mention ryan reynolds for an animated movie that ryan reynolds is not involved in, in anyway. these reviews are awful and may god have mercy on the people who wrote them.

I bought this movie the first day it came out and it's so much better than Emerald Knights. If you haven't bought it yet, curious about, wanted to see what other real fans think--stop stalling and just see it for yourself! This makes references to Crisis on Infinite Earths, Alan Moore's story on Mogo, Sinestro Corps, Red Lantern Corps and Blackest Night by mention. Hal tells fresh recruit Arisia the stories any new comer should know about the very first Lantern, Laira, Kilowog and Mogo as they prepare their onslaught against Krona. Who appears a lot taller than he was in Brightest Day. Must be all that anti-matter he's using. If you want to learn more about Green Lantern and his Corps (that the movie didn't teach) this is a great movie to see.

I'll be the first to admit that this summer's "Green Lantern" was not what I hoped it would be. It was definitely fun for what it was, but it suffered from weak plotting and acting from some key players whom I won't name out of courtesy. It was too busy trying to be the next big superhero film to realize that the Green Lantern franchise is more than a story of one guy with "powers." The premise of Green Lantern, of the army of intergalactic peacekeepers, is unique among the more popular comic franchises, and "Emerald Knights" showcases this aspect of the story in a way I wish "Green Lantern" had done. Because the universe doesn't revolve around Earth or Hal Jordan. The approach to "Emerald Knights" is to present an anthology of stories starring different alien warriors taking their personal journeys to become Green Lanterns before facing the greatest threat the corps has ever faced together. And no two stories are really the same. You have an origin story featuring the first Lantern, a pioneer who carries the ring into battle for the very first time and finds out what it can really do. You have a training day gone crazy with fan favorite Kilowog, who would become one of the main characters of the series besides Hal. We have a young woman from a warrior culture, returning home to face a gauntlet of friends and loved ones who test her beliefs and her honor. You have the tale of Bulphunga, the spacefaring warrior who seeks to test his might against the most powerful and mysterious Green Lantern of all. And you have the last great adventure of Hal Jordan's predecessor Abin Sur, as he meets a violent murderer with a chilling prophecy regarding the future of Abin's old friend Sinestro and the Green Lantern Corps. All of which is framed by the darkest day in the history of the Corps, when an ancient enemy of the Guardians returns with a plan to destroy the planet Oa and the Corps with it. All of these are based on classic stories from the pages of Green Lantern, and each one demonstrates how rich and diverse the characters and worlds of Green Lantern can really be. If Green Lantern ever comes back to the big screen, this is what it needs to be: a sweeping epic, a grand space opera played out on the front lines of a terrible struggle against the forces of evil, in whatever form you find it. On an unrelated note, iTunes, you may want to take the Rotten Tomatoes reviews for "Green Lantern" and save them for when you actually post the film itself. It's misleading for people who don't read things carefully, which is actually a lot of people.

I used to love it when I was little, but now I think it is crap!

It froze but it was still playing then I tried fast fowarding and nothing was there

...it has to be somewhat good, right?
