A LEGENDARY MASTERPIECE!!!!

A superb style for music and art and legacy that’s music to my ears! The first ever Disney movie I ever saw on VHS during my youth years was in a music class that triggered not only a perfect fit but also an inner feeling that’s irresistible and that no other Disney film—original or acquisition—shall surpass it to make me rethink of another kind as #1 in my book. This film is a legendary masterpiece as I put it in perspective words and will be kept for life!

I already have this movie on BlueRay but I would be happy to shell out 20 bucks for this superb classic if it was to get the 4K and ATMOS treatment. Thank You.
Timeless and Iconic!!!

Fantasia is my personal icon for Classical Music and also my personal idol for famed 20th century conductor Leopold Stokowski in his darkened music leading image. Fantasia remains an important part of my film treasures as a forever masterpiece in my library of digitally purchased streaming media.
Timeless: As a kid and now

I loved this film so much as a kid (heck, I'll never know how many times I've watched it). It changed the way I watched other cartoons. Meaning, I'd only remember a few lines of dialogue but remember the visuals and music. It all caught my interest while watching it all the way through: nothing bored me, nothing scared me. The abstracts of Toccata & Fugue, the little fantasy views of nature of the Nutcracker Suite, the comical portrayal of the Sorceror's Apprentice (okay, I lied. Yen Sid did scare me a bit), the exciting dramatics of the tale of the beginning of life in the Rite of Spring, the spectacular yet amusing sequences of the Pastoral Symphony, the funny cute dances of the animals in Dance of the Hours, the epic "boom!"s and thrills of Tchernobog (Chernie, I call him) in his dark worship in Night on Bald Mountain, and the solemn, tranquil yet beautiful caricature of good overcoming evil in Ave Maria.
Sadly, this film is ignored as too many focus on Sorceror's Apprentice and Bald Mountain and forget the other wonderful sequences. I confess I did the same and avoided it for years. Watching it with my little sister a couple years ago, I remembered how excellent this film was (and is) and how much I loved it. Last Christmas, I bought the two-film set for my dad. For my birthday this year, I watched it and thoroughly enjoyed it as I relived my childhood.
What makes it even more tragic for this film is the way Disney treats it. It may have not been successful when it was released, but no one could love and cherish this film like Walt did. When it was released, animation was more of a form of entertainment and not so much as an art. The same applies for today. While families of today expect the crude potty humor and crappy baby styles of today's Disney, such as Phineas & Ferb, Disney Princess, and High School Musical, for their kids. I expect for my children, if I ever have any, is the sweet humor and musically intriguing styles of the timeless classic Fantasia.
Ahh-mazing

As beautiful today as when I saw it as a child. One of the building blocks of what my imagination is today. Why can't I buy it on i-tunes? Come on Disney Corp., you already went against his wishes, why stop now.

It's not a cartoon. It's a masterful classic. Glowing with beautiful images, bracing with timeless musical scores, and filled with classical moments, this is a masterpiece at best.
