This is a movie with a lot of hype. The previews implied it was a great movie, but I was very disappointed watching this movie.

I have seen this movie twice now and all I can say is that it is one of the best movies ever made. DiCaprio’s performance in this movie is one of his bests. The plot was brilliant and the soundtrack to the movie was amazing. This movie is truly incredible with every aspect.

This film is horrible i watched it with high expectations but i was wrong. The movie is confusing as Hell, and the film is very disturbing , too long, and very boring maybe i liked the final act, but this film is bad

Too intelligent for those think it ends "up in the air". And too devastating for those of us who understood every beat and the definitive ending. A throwback to 30s crime dramas - even Teddy's is living one of those characters. The benevolence of the staff is overwhelming in their attempt to save a life. Scorcese's long grey depth of field illuminates the chasm of the breadth and depth of the human experience. Scorcese's most human film.

One of my favorite Leonardo di Caprio films. Suspenseful, mysterious, and the best ending I have seen.

Shutter Island is my favorite movie of all time, the plot is very unique, and the plot twist at the end is what makes the movie for me. Not to mention the acting is far superior than the other movies in the thriller/horror category. Worth the watch, over and over again.

After seeing it for the first time farily recently, all I can say is that it warrants an instant second viewing so that you can psychologically digest everything through a new viewing lense than the epic ending and final plot twist (one of the best that I've ever seen by the way) gives you, almost as a slap in the face. How Leonardo DiCaprio didn't win the Oscar for this epic piece of work by legendary film veteran Martin Scorcese is way beyond me.

So this movie had a amazing plot and was exicuted perfectly
