Description

Academy Award® nominees Matt Damon and director Paul Greengrass (The Bourne Supremacy, The Bourne Ultimatum) reteam in this action-packed thriller. Damon stars as Roy Miller, a rogue U.S. Army officer who must hunt through covert and faulty intelligence hidden on foreign soil before war escalates in an unstable region. Also starring Academy Award® nominees Greg Kinnear and Amy Ryan, Green Zone is “one hell of a thriller” (Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times).

I just recently became aware of Matt's political alignment and this movie pretty much sums it up. He is a fantastic actor but a hypocrite. If you are into bashing the USA, as so many are these days, then you'll love this film.
  • Really fun Bourne style film (kidding)!

I suppose if you put this actor and director in a film it has to be compared to their Bourne collaborations so I won't. As a stand alone film (which it is) it's really good, it's only in the comparison that it suffers of all things by comparison! Sit back and enjoy this advebture and forget "Bourne" and you'll like the film. The story was political at the time but not now so much. Anyway that's one film lovers opinion (7.5/10)

Yes, some parts accurate... Lots of plot holes. Could have been a good thriller/spy movie - instead, it's a political statement. I wanted an engaging movie, not 60 Minutes!

This is a movie made by liberals, for liberals. It’s void of any real facts surrounding the Iraq war. It completely omits the WMD’s, and materials used to make WMD’s, we found over there. (yellow cake for example)
  • Action-packed story - not necessarily all true . . .

I really liked the film for the action and Matt Damon's superb performance in a more recent war event-type film. One needs to realize when viewing that the story is not necessarily based upon true fact - nor does it claim to be - only shows one side of what "might" have happened. Being a retired medical vet, I saw troops who came back indicating their chem weapon indicators had gone off - more than once - so, again, this is a "story" - not necessarily factual. If you like action and Matt Damon - go see it!
  • Lame & very disappointing

I normally really like Matt Damon movies, but this one stinks. This is basically a movie to push Damon's personal political position on the war in Iraq.
  • political

This would have been a "good" movie had the intention not been political.
