The world’s most beloved and inquisitive monkey is back for another funny and heartwarming adventure! When Curious George meets Kayla, a magician’s homesick elephant, he decides to help her visit her brothers and sisters in California. But when the magician’s dogged security chief, Danno Wolfe, becomes convinced George has masterminded an elephant-‘napping, he begins an all-out investigation to track down the missing pachyderm. With Wolfe hot on their heels, George, Kayla and Ted (The Man with the Yellow Hat) travel by train, truck and even an engineless school bus on a comical cross-country trip to reunite Kayla with her family.

My three-year-old went through a phase where he was completely addicted to this movie and it was the only thing he wanted to watch. I got thoroughly tired of the plot and dialogue, but was saved by the startlingly good soundtrack. The group Carbon Leaf did many of the songs on this movie, and I was impressed enough to go out and buy the soundtrack for myself. So my son and I both got something out of it!

Yet another kids film with unnecessarily scary villains and chase scenes. Gerorge even gets handcuffed for extra scariness! My child loves Curious George and cried during this movie. I wish there were more peaceful films for young children. A must miss!

Not as good as the first one (from an adult perspective) but my two kids 5 and 2 both love this one better. Its just like a TV episode only longer. Which is not a terrible thing for the kids.
  • 2 year old son loves it-cute and not super annoying!

My 2 year old son loves this movie (as well as the PBS series). He watches it over and over as most toddlers do with their favorites. The good thing about this movie is it is cute, has good story line and is not something that will drive you insane after watching it 5 times per day.
  • What happened to Curious George?

This is a stinker. The first Curious George movie was charming, funny, and kid-centric in ways that Curious George 2 is NOT. The dialogue and pacing are bad, the jokes aren't funny for me or my three-year-old (and they're mainly sarcastic and biting), the animation is cheap CGI, and the voices and soundtrack are nowhere near as good as the first George movie. Your kid might be ok watching it, just because it's Curious George, but you'll probably be in pain. Stick with the first movie and the TV show, which are more appropriate for kids, better quality, and more fun for everyone to watch.
