The sound on the trailer is awful but it does appear to be real Cinemascope. I wish they had an HD version, this movie deserves a great transfer.

Dorothy Dandridge was absolutely brilliant in her portal of Carmen. Love this movie and the music. Highly recommend this classic film.

I fell in love with this movie the first time I saw it. Harry Belafonte and Dorothy Dandridge light up the screen with great chemistry. Classic Movie-Musical!

I was greatly inspired when i saw this movie because it is of the type of movie caucasions are usually in but african american's are in it and it was the first kind of musical ive seen with my kind of people in it. POWER TO THE PEOPLE!!!!!.

What a wonderful movie! It is excellent, and really talks about a love story that is from a perspective of true passion ad one of fleeting lust.

Ahhh Carmen! In the operatic version Ms. Carmen leaves her poor AWOL soldier for a bullfighter; this Americanized Carmen takes "Jones," for her last name but the stories are the same. Sorry opera goers but this movie is better than any stage version of Carmen. Carmen Jones is lusty, modern and the words are understandable! Now when I see the opera "Carmen," I sing the "Carmen Jones" lyrics with the music (to myself of course) and the opera is improved 100%. Try it you'll Love it!
