Starts out as an interesting story about a playwright who has run out of ideas and flirts with the possibility of committing a real murder to bring new inspiration. The story ceases to be compelling once murder becomes reality. Dyan Cannon's character was very funny and interesting after she leaves, Michael Caine has no chemistry with anyone else.

A fun murder mystery with plot twists galore.

This is an exceptional movie in an extend that it consists of a very fine plot and as good acting as can be anticipated, when knowing who was casted, especially Michael Caine. One could think of it as a play more than a movie.
