Description

Comedian Bob Goldthwait stars as an insecure stockbroker who teams up with Don the Talking Horse, a chatty four-legged financial advisor. Together, this decidedly odd couple gallop through a series of comic misadventures that echo the grand tradition established by Francis the Talking Mule and TV's beloved Mr. Ed. Co-starring Emmy Award-winner Dabney Coleman ("9 to 5," "Tootsie"), Virginia Madsen ("Candyman"), Gilbert Gottfried ("Aladdin") and the voices of John Candy ("Cool Runnings," "Uncle Buck") and Burgess Meredith ("Grumpy Old Men," "Rocky"). Featuring the music of Danny Elfman ("Batman," "Beetlejuice").

Hot 2 Trot has it all! Babes, action, talking animals, and a plot with more laugh out loud moments than Braveheart. Putting Candy and Bobcat together in one film is like crossing the streams in Ghostbusters. All that awesomeness in one movie should have plunged our world into darkness and chaos but it didn't and luckily you, the viewer, are the beneficiary. At rhe end of the film I stood up and cheered for Ed the Talking Horse; it was the most moving performance I've seen from a mammal since Virgil the Chimp's mind bending tour de force in Matthew Broderick's 80s masterpiece Project X. Sit back and enjoy a movie funnier than Uncle Buck and Freddy Got Fingered combined!
  • A cult classic that went under the radar. John Candy is great!

I've watched this movie again and again growing up and it is still a big laugh. "Your mind goes. Your tongue darkens. Your mind goes. Your balls shrink!". Why doesn't iTunes credit the writers on this page?? This needs to be in the same league as the big 80's-90's classics like Farris Bueller's Day off, Ghostbusters, Uncle Buck and Little Shop of Horrors. This movie is loads of fun and I think everyone should know about it!
