I was really excited after seeing the first movie, but I was very confused and ultimately disappointed with this movie. It wasn't necessarily the movies fault though, but the subtitles here are not configured properly. I was only able to enable / disable them completely, when what I wanted and how it probably was shown theatrically is with subtitles for the Italian only scenes or whichever ones needed them from the filmmaker. I don’t mind not knowing every word but the movie went on for 20 minutes or even small scenes that carried important information that I’m only finding out after watching an explainer, and I realized I missed all the context because I left subtitles for for that first 45 minutes or so. So if you’ve seen the movie maybe this is great but for your first time, find a better way to watch.

Why the movie comes only with the audio description track? There is no way to turn it off, so watch out.

The movie is great. This version (released today, 4k version), plays an accessibility track instead of the audio regular track. So, at the opening a voice says “black screen, titles, Mario Puzo’s The Godfather part 2”. Don’t buy it until it is fixed.

I bought this on itunes a few years ago. The movie has played with no problems many times. Now for the first time the movie plays with commentary and there is now way to turn it off and just simply watch the movie. What happened?????

Don't waste your time, it is really a stupid movie that keep going moving around and around in a labyrinth with no exit.

Would really like the option of watching this and other films with the cut scenes In the film, not tad an extra.

My opinions on the first Godfather can be summed up to one word: phenomenal. In all essence, this movie is truly a Part II of one story. It is not a sequel, it is one story continued. Al Pacino is again truly phenomenal, with this film solidifying his place as one of the greatest American Film Actors to ever live. Robert De Niro not only takes on the challenge of playing the young Marlon Brando/Vito Corleone, but he builds on the role and makes it his own while still becoming Brando, in a truly jawdropping performance. John Cazale as Fredo is truly underrated; his performance is one of true brilliance and was the absolute greatest of his career, which was far too short. Everything else I can say about this film I have already said in my review of the First Godfather. It is just pure cinema, and truly phenomenal.
