House of Wax

I am glad this movie is still available, but it will never compete with this original 3D version. I saw this movie when in first run (1953) and the 3D technology blew this 9 yo away. Almost 60 years later it still causes my neck hairs to stiffen. Of the 3 know versions (1933, 1953 & 2005) of this movie, this is the benchmark. This is one of Vincent Price's best performances. It was also a treat to revisit with Phyllis Kirk & Carolyn Jones. If you like campy horror movies that can scare the dickens out of you. then this is your movie.

I am only 17 and I was raised on classic movies! This is one is my favorite and I also live when he Does the speaking part in 'Thriller' !

In the 30's there was a movie called "Mystery of the Wax Museum", which this movie remakes. No, I'm not here to talk about the original. I am here to talk about the movie House of Wax starring Vincent Price. The story is great, the characters are memorable, and the actors did a great job. I have to give kudos to Vincent Price for his part. If you want to watch a classic movie (and not a pointless 2005 remake), then I suggest that you check it out. By the way, here's an interesting fact: Prof. Henry Jarrod's assistant (Igor) was played by guess who? CHARLES BRONSON!!!!! Holy Crap! That's awesome!

This is an excelent clasic movie with Vincint Price, and it is sad that when people now a days say the movie House of Wax they think of the Paris Hilton version. although the only good part in the movie was when she got killed. It is also sad that this movie is not shown durring halloween because it is one of the greatest halloween classic movies ever created.

I recommend this movie to everyone, not just the horror-inclined viewers. It's a true classic filled with suspense and intrigue, coupled by an amazing cast. And of course you can't beat Vincent Price...ever.

Please get the newer version of House of Wax.
