  • Time compressed?

I love this movie, but I noticed that the run time is about 4 1/2 minutes shorter than my dvd copy. I started playing them side-by-side and noticed that the iTunes version seemed to be running faster than the dvd. After 4 minutes of play, the iTunes version was about 10 seconds ahead of the dvd. IMDB lists this movie at 1:45, but the iTunes version is one 1:40; It doesn't appear to be cut, just time-compressed.

I think most people over 30 or so know this movie. In my opinion it's one of the best films of it's era. What could have been a dull rehash of the stage play has been "souped up" with genuinely funny dream sequences that should delight all but the most jaded viewers! Only problem is that this transfer while acceptable in the correct Cinemascope aspect ratio is slightly out of focus throughout! I bought it and am glad I did but I expected better quality from Apple (or 20th Century Fox studios.) Hopefully Apple can get a better copy, but I suspect that the studio will make us all buy it again.

Witty, campy, playful, and classic. A must-see for any Marilyn fan.

This is just one of the best and funniest movies I have ever saw! But please and please get 'Some like it hot' on iTunes, I would love for that to happen!

How come iTunes allows you to buy certain movies .there are so many movies that I would like to purchase but iTunes only allows you to rent them which is a waste if iTunes really wants to make money I suggest that they allow people to purchase all movies we can go buy them somewhere else any way so why not here it's frustrating.

This was the first Marilyn Monroe movie I've seen. I was primarily curious to see what all the fuss was regarding the actress, and on that note, I was not disappointed. She was easily the most charming aspect of the film. The rest, I found forgettable. The worst was the main character, who I thought was creepy and full of himself. The movie had a very 50s feeling to it, which I liked, and pop culture references were about. Otherwise, eh.
  • Marilyn is fantastic...

...in The Seven Year Itch! She steals every scene she's in. If you're a huge Marilyn Monroe fan like I am, you need to see this movie! You'll love it! (:

A wonderful film by George Axelrod and the great Billy Wilder. Despite the Hayes office trying to cut the movie to shreds, Wilder was still able to create a film for all times and generations.
  • It's not the movie...

The movie is fine, but I am really surprised that no one should comment about the truly miserable quality of this copy. It is really reminiscent of the old times when the guy in the projection booth did not adjust the focus!
