Great movie! Worth watching again and again and again. Everyone is brilliant in this but I think Kevin Kline steals every scene he is in and that is no easy feat. He has never been funnier. I wish some of his other characters in other films were more like Otto. A Fish Called Wanda is a comedic tour de force from beginning to end.

Sure, it’s slightly dated, but it’s consistently funny as the situations get more outrageous. The viewer is pulled into this complex mania by a cast of admirably skilled actors.

And sooo politically incorrect!

As good as the individual performances are, the comedy itself is very much a product of its era, sometimes for better and sometimes for worse. (Unfortunately, one might argue that stereotypes are the building blocks of this thing.) Despite some tempting one-liners, I found it much more entertaining in my early teens than as an adult. Also, don't be fooled, this really is a romcom.

Cleese spoke of this on the Colbert show of 23 July 2018. The man who laughed until he died was a Dutch dentist. Absolutely hilarious (though some of the humor is cruel.) Curtis is great, Kline is crazed, and the great John Cleese is magnificent.

One of the funniest comedies ever made, it's also a brilliant satire of the time, and unfortunately one of the last films Cleese wrote and starred in as a lead. Also one of the rare Oscars awarded for a comedy performance (Kevin Kline), giving you an idea of just how special this film is.

Can't iTunes and MGM just get along? I'd like to buy not rent!

One of my all time favorite movies! Such a classic!! I just wish it were available to purchase instead of renting. Please add a buy option!! This is like the only movie I’ve seen recently on iTunes that’s rent-only, not cool!!

I don't think there have been many movies that I enjoyed this much, that I have watched so often. Brilliant!
