Description

Disney and Pixar’s “Turning Red” introduces Mei Lee (voice of Rosalie Chiang), a confident, dorky 13-year-old torn between staying her mother’s dutiful daughter and the chaos of adolescence. Her protective, if not slightly overbearing mother, Ming (voice of Sandra Oh), is never far from her daughter—an unfortunate reality for the teenager. And as if changes to her interests, relationships and body weren’t enough, whenever she gets too excited (which is practically ALWAYS), she “poofs” into a giant red panda! Directed by Academy Award® winner Domee Shi (Pixar short “Bao”) and produced by Lindsey Collins. Some flashing lights sequences or patterns may affect photosensitive viewers.

Sorry Encanto, your popularity streak ends here. This PIXAR movie doesn’t get any better than this. Honestly, I would give this INFINITY stars if I could! THIS MOVIE WAS OUTSTANDINGLY PERFECT. AND I OFFICIALLY DROP THE MICROPHONE AND THEN THROW IT UNTIL IT HITS THE DISNEY HATERS' UGLY FACE.

I know this movie looks cute but it encourages rebellion against your parents. I feel it should have a PG-13 rating instead. Sorry Disney, I know you worked hard, you’ll get ideas for better movies in the future, don’t give up

Don’t like the language in this movie it is bad. The panda is to love but this movie is boring and is not to watch. Puberty is not the best.

Still listening to the music. Deserved a theater release. I really enjoyed the art direction. This was mostly just a fun movie about growing up. It was cool that this was a story about a group of girls being friends too,I can’t think of another animated movie that focuses on the way this does atm. Using words like “woke” to discredit this movie is odd IMO
  • Least kid-friendly Pixar movie since the Incredibles 2

I’m not sure whether to give this a two-star or a three-star. Incredibles 2 was the least kid-friendly Pixar movie since the first Incredibles. As for Turning Red, there were some dirty elements that children wouldn’t ask questions about, such as the true meaning of “turning red,” and stripper music. On the plus side, it was fun to watch.
  • Great family movie

My kids and I love this movie. The creators did a great job highlighting puberty, emotions that come with growing up and a grandmother and mother taking responsibility for their actions. 10/10 recommend.

Don’t listen to the haters. This movie scored a 95% on rotten tomatoes. The haters are controlling parents who are exactly like the mother in the movie. That’s why they are raging against it.
