Gorgeous visuals, fantastic soundtrack, but and irritating lead and a predictable plot. "Repulsion" was better the first time I saw it.

Illogical choices plague bad movies and Last Night in SoHo is no exception. From the main character’s continued illogical/delusional choice to continue to stay in a city/house where she’s transported into another place/time/person’s nightmare existence haunted by not just visions but physical presence in another reality, instead of going back to stay & ‘’deal’’ with a few mean girls( film makes you a culprit in the idiocy of the choice), to not packing and going home insults your participation in actively and continually choosing to keep watching( I had to see how bad it got).
  • The previews were better than the actual movie

Typical Hollywood wants to bait and switch you with previews that implied this was a good movie. The movie made no sense near the end of it. The plot was out the window at that point. I wouldn’t pay money to watch this movie.

…and enjoyable movie. I’d say 4.5 of 5.0 stars. One of the best I’ve seen in a long time. I wonder if the few people to give this bad reviews even watched it.

*spoiler alert* Movie is very captivating at the start with amazing modern/grainy visuals, carried onto a typical girl and a fashion designing dream, like a nice indie film, everything happening for the right reasons, then out of no where a very open ended connection to someone into the past which at first I believed to be an inspiration for her work for whom she designs for an era of the past, but no, turns into a dark twist and no point for CGI that really unnecessarily pisses you off at very frequent times, and by that point in the middle of the movie, you literally know how it’s going to end..? Psychological or not, a connection has to be made regardless of the situation, everywhere from the climax to the resolution is just sloppy and very open ended, and just completely unnecessary. For such a a potential with amazing actors and artists and amazing setting just for it to turn out to a Scott Pilgrim meets Paranormal activity without making any reasonable connections really really is a major turn down to what it turned out to be, a teenagers horror film lol - emphasize on the lowercase lol - for any others wanting to think of either renting or buying, definitely rent and definitely stop watching midway into the movie because that’s what was the best and aiding part of the movie, lol. I want my money back lol.
  • Decent story bad audio

I probably would have considered this movie pretty good if the constant drastic change in volume didn’t have me constantly reaching for the remote. It’s the worst example I’ve seen yet though of depending on extreme volume changes to create tension, and while it wouldn’t have won an Oscar the story didn’t need it to be decent.
  • Good start, then turn into ghost story

Visually the movie is beautiful with great camera work, but omg…after a great beginning, turned into a teenage horror film with quiet predictable twist. I had to fast forward.
  • A solid horror movie
