Description

A Cannes Film Festival sensation and Palme d'Or winner, Titane is a feverish and jaw-dropping ride from the mind of Julia Ducournau (Raw). With a titanium plate surgically fused to her skull following a car crash as a child, car model Alexia embarks on a wild and ultimately unpredictable journey that questions our assumptions about family, identity and love.

This is nothing less than genious film making. Shockingly brilliant stuff!!!

This movie hides behind cryptic visuals to try and create the illusion of some profound thematic statement, and fails miserably. It’s bereft of plot, has no characterization, and has nothing to say. It’s not even a particularly moving body horror piece by effects standards. It is utterly devoid of positive qualities.

I knew that a Cannes palme d´or movie would be difficult to watch. Usually, all leftist director win this festival, and they claim proofund messages in their work. But I couldn´t imagine such a movie. No real message apart from violence, reject form all moral values ... a pure waste of time.

These five star reviews must be fake. Had i known the movie would be like it was, i wouldnt have even watched it had it been FREE. made no sense, no catharsis. Just plain stupid.

I fell into the trap of a good movie review from a news source based on the fresh tomato score. That score must be inflated somehow. This film is not shocking. A few people die by being stabbed with a chopstick , not new. It has little sexual content, there are girls dancing on a car and implied contact with something in the backseat of a car. It is not unique. Girl pretends to be a boy to hide from the murders she committed. Plenty of films with people being opposite genders to hide from something. So what? It has a little violent content, nothing to write home about. The only interesting thing that happened was they hybrid birth of a metallic kid at the end. That would be interesting if they went with it, but ends on that note. Beyond that, the rest of the film is literally garbage. Extremely upset I wasted money and worse yet time on it. I want the minutes of my life back.

InHumanity. Our film-fossiled clichés mosh-fevered pitching man-made machine-made sexless sex implanting ballistic transmuting intra-uterine technology with unfamiliar amorality, our self-tortured, furious petulant maternal istic prison-wrapping in denial, and shattered self-suffering grieving roid-raging paternal istic poison-injecting with denial, together in Darwinian synergistic copulate ergo sum embrace of male mother and female vessel birthing our infant astic cybernetic deus ex machina manifest destiny. That’s what it feels like.

The main girl is incredible. And it’s a very interesting movie. I’m not sure I particularly liked where she ended up at the end, but it’s still a much better movie than the garbage that they’re making now
