C’mon, Apple. I can’t believe you’d put this movie on sale for $7.99. It’s worth way more than that. And I haven’t even seen it. I’m going to wait until it goes back up to over 20 bucks (including tax) before I’ll even consider buying it. How will you ever make a profit?
  • Godzilla vs Kong movie finally, and this is what we get?

Why not do a repeat of Batman vs. Superman Dawn of Justice? This movie was the Apex of garbage. Didn’t make sense, not believable, characters were not memorable, let alone likable. And like every other recent Godzilla movie, it features way more human beings that neither I or the rest of the audience cares about, than it does actual monsters. I long stopped watching these Godzilla movies in the theaters since the disaster they released in 2014, and I can confidently say nothing has changed. How can they call this a Godzilla movie and it only has 7 minutes of Godzilla?

Of all 4 Monarch movies so far, id say this is 2nd best. Definitely 100x better than Kong 1, but it doesnt beat Godzilla 2 which imo is best. Dont get me wrong, this movie has SO many amazing scenes and all. Its just several parts of the movie seemed to slow down drastically before speeding back up. And the ending was almost a sudden stop in excitement with a small bump of “omgosh, what now!?” before just being done Also, its hard to say if they can keep making movies after this since they kinda ended it they way that they did
  • Science Fantasy - Hugely disappointing!

Hollow Earth!? Ha! Ha! The key to a good ‘fiction’ movie is the successful suspension of ‘disbelief’. As soon as hollow earth was mentioned I’d wished I’d not spent the money because I doubt that I’ll ever watch it again. It is geophysically impossible (a word I almost ‘never’ use (another word I hardly ever use)) for the Earth to be hollow. It was ‘conclusively disproven in the late 1700s for crying out loud. And in contemporary times geophysicists study earthquake P and S wave transmission/reflection through the Earth, it is well understood what the internal structure of the Earth is and it’s composition. If the Earth was hollow we would either not have any magnetic fields or they would be considerably weaker which would have a horrendous negative affect on life on Planet Earth. And, how could there be holes into the Earth at the poles since the Earth’s pole move, and have moved considerably over time, so the holes would, too, would have to move. I give it 2-stars as the FX were good, thanks to James Cameron’s Avatar technology. Wish I had my money back.

There's something telling about modern Hollywood blockbusters when the most likable characters are the monsters. As for the special effects, they're flashy, but much of it looks fake and computerized. I guess people have gotten used to that.

The story is inane. I get it; It is two fantasy monsters where the writers had to invent some reason to fight each other (and fight Mechagodzilla). They were also burdened by elements from prior movies. This story though was terrible with crazy logical leaps, ungrounded sci-fi, and a lot of cringe worthy exposition. I watched it but unless you are a diehard Godzilla fan, I wouldn’t bother.
