Description

The Bride With White Hair is one of the most enduring love stories in Chinese literature. The story takes place during the last years of the Ming Dynasty in the legendary Wudang Mountain. Zhuo Yihang is a young Knight of Wudang, who shines with great talent in martial arts. Well loves by his master Ziyang, the young boy also possesses a rebellious spirit. One day, Zhuo secretly leaves the Wudang fortress to play outside. By mistake, he trespasses into the zone of the Mo, a deviant cult that rival to the Wudang. The boy is set upon by a pack of wolves but is saved by a longhaired girl who sings a folk song to placate the wolves. The years pass, to resist the Mo Sect, the Four Elders of the Wudang attempt to unite all various martial arts schools. But the anti-Mo alliance congregate was defeated by a mysterious long-haired woman who was later discovered by Zhuo as Lian Nichang. Love blossoms between them. When Lian was wounded by Wudang students, both of them hide out in the Moonlight Valley. There, Lian accidentally discovered a magic flower containing the potion of immortality. Zhuo swears eternal allegiance to Lian in a marriage vow. The master of the Mo, Ji Wushuang, has super-nature power which allows him to transmute between male and female genders. Male Wushuang covets to Lian's beauty, swears to kill Zhuo. The Mo carried out a purge in Wudang and Zhuo blamed Lian for the massacre. Lian believes that Zhuo has broken his vow. Her long black hair turns white from anger...
