I'm glad the film was not a doc-style film but instead a compelling story how Lloyd was impacted by Mr. Rogers. Lloyd was a perfect cynical character for how all us adults (me included) who never saw Mr. Rogers can learn from his simple yet essential messages to children - kindness, forgiveness, love. The commuter train ride was magical, the diner was emotional, and the talk about death with Lloyd's family was reassuring. I smiled and got teary eyed throughout this beautiful film.
Wonderful!!!!

I was hoping for a movie about Mr. Rogers. This is a interaction with someone and Mr. Rogers.

I love this movie. Tom Hanks did a fantastic job, it really couldn’t be better. The story line and how they showed what a kind and caring person Mr.Rogers is, makes you feel happy. I’m actually praying that there is a sequel. I would love to see more!
You have to watch this!

What an amazing story! Tom Hanks is one of the most amazing actors of our time and this movie doesn’t disappoint, such a unique perspective with this story. The entire family loved it and took us back to remembering watching Mr. Rogers.
Great story

A little too slow for my taste.
Not What You're Expecting

I thought I was in for a sappy 120 minutes of unconditional feel good but got so much more. Mr. Rogers would be proud.

It was okay. I thought it was going to be more about Mr. Rogers. Instead it's a view of Mr. Rogers thru the eyes of this reporter. Frankly, I thought the documentary on Mr. Rogers was WAY better. This film was interesting...just not as great as I expected. Tom Hanks is awesome as Mr. Rogers.
