For those of us that love seeing them in concert, this film is like a lasting visit. The band has no pretense. Judd Apatow gives a window into their lives that shows this. While we can’t see them live (ten months of quarantine, and more to come) May It Last will sustain us until things improve.

I loved seeing their history as a band and family in NC, my home state. It’s a pleasant surprise on how humble they are, poetic, and soulful while going through the stresses of life. I already loved their music and was happy to find this documentary on iTunes.

This film is a reinforcement to our already very strong love for the Avett brothers band. It’s a fantastic glimpse into the lives and songwriting of Scott and Seth Avett as well as there fellow family/band members. It’s the hearts behind these humans that drives their music and art. Life doesn’t stop happening while they write, tour and perform. They clearly share it with us through their music and this film.
