If you’re a fan of the original Japanese anime Ghost in the shell movie you’ll really appreciate this movie, there are differences between this movie and the original but it’s got amazing scenery that’s completely jaw dropping and the action and suspense are good and the acting is awesome and in my opinion Scarlet did a pretty good job and hope there’s a sequel one day! 👍👍😄

I’ve seen the original twice over the years. It’s okay but the slow pace and story don’t do much for me. I was prepared to hate this because of the whitewashing controversy but I was surprised by how much I liked it. One of the leads is an Asian male, the score is great, the visuals are incredible, and it’s fast-paced.

Long time fan of the original, I found this version to be a good remake. The visuals are fantastic, it’s well acted. The film has a surprising grace to its action that is adapted well from its animated roots. I’m somewhat baffled by the reviews saying the nuance and meaning of the original aren’t there, they are. All in all I thought it was excellent, and really didn’t deserve the hate from either the racist camp (surprise.... The fact that Major is human/Japanese in soul alone is kind of the point of the movie) or the camp that swears up and down that they massacred the original (go watch the original then. It’s on iTunes. I’m glad they didn’t do a frame by frame reenactment).
