Description

When feminist filmmaker Cassie Jaye sets out to document the mysterious and polarizing world of the Men's Rights Movement, she begins to question her own beliefs. Jaye had only heard about the Men's Rights Movement as being a misogynist hate group aiming to turn back the clock on women's rights, but when she spends a year filming the leaders and followers within the movement, she learns the various ways men are disadvantaged and discriminated against. The Red Pill challenges the audience to pull back the veil, question societal norms, and expose themselves to an alternate perspective on gender equality, power and privilege.

An utterly amazing film which taught me so much in so little time to a point where I continued to research MRA’s in my free time.

It’s an eye opener! The First time I watched it, I was mind blowed away and now I can’t stop watching it! I have to admit, I cried a little, close to the end at some harsh facts.. awesome stuff.

A thoughtful and provacative film that avoids the cliches of today's debate about gender and equal rights. Kudos to Jaye for offering and trying to find a balance between competing views and actually touching on some of the systemic causes for why men and women are treated differently by society. She raises a number of points in the course of the documentary that deserve deeper exploration and could/should make for documentaries in their own right. worth watching.

I’m very liberal and went into this reluctantly after hearing a similar story from a friend. I wish everyone would watch this.

Film is both a journey of the director as she learns truths not typically discussed or available to the public. Also, a thorough / fair review tracking the emerging imbalance between the sexes. Grateful that the film was made. Highly recommended.

I watched this because I saw an interview were two tv hosts were asking accusatory questions to the Filmmaker, without them even having seen the movie. I thought this was going to be a Feminist realizing that men aren't just like rabid dogs, but it turned out to be a real and honest dive into the Men's Rights Movement, and a Feminist getting an outside view of the modern Feminist movement. It's fascinating to see such a well put together presentation of how horribly misrepresented the MRA are, versus the actual issues they stand for, and against.

Very well done documentary of the differences between men’s rights and feminist movements. You see a side of bullying you’ll never seen on TV. My wife and eye were in awe of the injustice we were blind too!

In a society/world becoming more and more gynocentric, a documentary like this is necessary - and hopefully there’s more to come.

This documentary helped me feel less alone as a male victim of domestic violence. I'm grateful.
