Crimson Peak

Great horror movie, creepy and full of suspense the whole time.

Guillermo del Toro is such a master at visuals. Even though some of his movies aren’t the best, they’re all visually stunning. ‘Crimson Peak’, like it or not, proves that statement to be true, along with ‘Pan’s Labyrinth’. This movie has a kind of predictable plot, and not the most creative one, but it’s well done. The acting is great, it’s creepy and, like I said, the visuals are amazing. I really enjoyed this gothic horror-romance.

I'm very disappointed. The worst movie by Guillermo del Toro.

I expected a better all around film from this director, there was so much potential. I felt like the writing and directing were not well executed. Sure, the movie looked great visually, and the cast and acting were good. But it was not scary, and was very predictable, and lacked suspense where it really needed to be. The movie also felt unintelligent and incomplete.

The production disign, directing, cinematography, costume design, acting, dialuge are superb. All that aside the ghost in the story are absolutely pointless and add nothing to the story. Through out the story the main character interacts with cryptic ghost that attempt to help her, but do so by giving vague and cryptic advise, whcih makes no sense. If a ghost can see the futue and speak in clear English, why the need to be cryptic? why not just say what you want to say. Also in spite the ghost attempts to communicate with the main character, the main character never really puts to use the information the ghost give to her. The myster behind Crimson Peak was resolved by one of the supporting characters who in no way shape or form had the ability to communicate with Ghost. In all honesty this is just a story about a woman who survives an abusive relationship, and nothing more. It's beautiful, but nothing special.

If I were a lot younger I could find this scary or interesting. Del Toro has tried to tell a compelling story that contained ghost, but the story and characters are predictable.

Lots of blood, no story line

I watched it twice on the same day and it still amazed me. Its was just AMAZING and i love Tom Hiddleston
