Being Born in 89, I didn't find until 2 years ago, IMO is tied for best Series.

Like I mentioned above it is tied for best Star Trek Series,good natured "insults", which I consider myself a Trekkie or Trekker now. I was a Jock, No Scholarship for football, I was a walk on, My Highlight in my entire football carrer was I making a 101 yard Punt return. To cut to the chase, I like to think of myself as an intellectual. I Started making really good friends in my dorm, and although I loved football, I barely made the team in College, Truth is I'm surprised I accomplished what I did in football, because I wasn't that good, the only reason they took me was my quickness and speed but at 5'10" and 170lbs, I had deluded myself into thinking I could make it to the NFL. I didn't have a chance. Then my life changed, My muse, a new clique and my interest in Gene Roddenberrys' Genius. I found much more in common with the other honor students in my class, who I ended up watching 2 of my favorite Shows to this day, S.T. TNG was one and the other was Stargate SG-1, I've seen every SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis and All but a SMALL handful of TNG, However, Voyager I've only seen the first season and approximately 12 more episodes, I absolutely love it. Kathryn Janeway makes a GREAT Captain, After I saw TNG I never imagined a woman who was not only feminine yet an outstanding Commanding Officer (Captain). The series was written very well, it not only stays fresh it always delivers. The character's are well formed and the premise of being stranded and at the beginning of the first season they are presumed dead. They were flung by a being known as the caretaker a distance So far away that the trip will take many years to get back, thlarle idea of knowing their surely presumed dead and so far away from home without any Starbases to re-supply. They say the trip is the best part of many things, along the way they run into alot of first contacts, unknown phenomena. To Sum it up, It is an INCREDIBLE show. The series is responsible fhr me making the best friends of college. Bottom Line, If you haven't watched this S.T. Series, then you are lucky, for you get to watch every episode made. I reccommend watching the first 2 eipisodes, actually the first 3, to understand the plot. Then Skip forward and download one from the first 2 seasons. I have a 5 Star Scale, I RARELY give out 5's, However, Voyager Ranks a 5 with me, like I mentioned before the series helped to make TRUE friends out of the Honors/International Dorm, which at first I considered nerds. In the end I had MUCH more in common with my "Nerd" and "Trekker" friends than I did with my fellow Jocks. The aforementioned Jocks were about 3 things, Football, shallow relationships with women and Partying. For me this show, I consider much more than a show, it literally changed my life. I had no future in Football If I hadn't made that connection I wouldn't have changed majors I wouldn't be attending Florida's Best Med School, One of the best in the nation. I know alot of my stuff was off topic and this was too long and at sometimes redundant, but, this show has effected my Life Profoundly, Download it, you won't regret it, I reccommend the entire First and Second Season's at least. Personally I'm a Protestant, however, I believe everyone has the right to believe what is in their heart. That being said, I don't want this to sound like I see Gene Roddenberry's view of the future a religion, I don't, however if other's do that's just great. My point is although I don't see it as a religion, I just hope that Humanity in real life will have evolved that much in the next200-300 years. Their Tolerance of not just race, but of Aliens is admirable and at this time where racism is still alive and well seems like a HUGE step. In Roddenberry's vision, the Federation of planets also has the entire planet earth as one entity, A Society who no longer has a need for Currency. Respect is given automatically unless something is done to revoke that respect. His dream of such a society is as close to a utopia that I can imagine here on Earth. Sorry so Long, this show means alot to me.
