This series is great ! All of the actors / actresses are great in this . The writing is wonderful.

Danny McBride doesn’t have a huge range between projects but I could watch him in 100 seasons of E&D. The writing is often excellent, the setups and situations range from absurdly hilarious to deeply heartbreaking and touching. The actors are really giving 100%, and frequently in embarrassing situations where you’d expect a “wink” from them to say “I’m only playing this part but I’m actually cool,” but they courageously don’t pull that. I love this series and it gets better every time I watch it. Ridiculous on the surface but deeply touching and skewers the ego of American ‘normalcy’ so voraciously by showing us the dirty underbelly of all the striving and stepping over others that we are taught is appropriate.
