Description

Success. Scandal. Sex. Tragedy. Infamy. Robert Evans knew them all, and in this provocative and compelling documentary, he reveals how one of the greatest winning streaks in Hollywood history almost destroyed him. From his early acting days to his stellar rise as head of production at Paramount and involvement in a well-publicized cocaine sting, Evans’ meteoric career reveals the moviemaking industry during one of its most glamorous and scandal-filled periods. As the man who made possible Rosemary’s Baby and The Godfather series, Evans was a tastemaker in a town that alternately loved and loathed him.

Even as a Hollywood “outsider”, you can still appreciate the story and how it’s told. Very interesting and entertaining.

If only we could actually have control of our own destiny like back then. Today it's all fascist. Your family. Your money. Who you know. Where you went to school. It's nepotism on steroids. America is no longer a place that you can make your future with hard work. Today you work hard just to live in a hovel with processed food and bills that cost so much you may as well just shoot yourself. This man here is the last of his kind and it makes me wish for our country back.

It's one of those movies that keeps getting bigger, with more and more "no way!" moments as it goes along. If the movie business interests you at all, this is a five-star can't-miss.

I knew Robert Evans and as such it was so great to see his life story finally told. By him of course. He is quintessential Hollywood. Not these no talent reality stars that people fawn all over. But true Hollywood when people had REAL talent and great movies were made. Thank you Robert for giving us all a glimpse into that world. And with your deep sexy voice as the narrator it makes it all the better!!!

Amazingly entertaining and highly creative narrative of the inside workings of Hollywood from the point of view of one of those key figures responsible for the success of some of the greatest movies of the last 40 years.
