My favorite part of cats was were one the magic cat and the tap dancing cat she was AMAZING!!! The movie was the beet thing I’ve ever seen ! L when to the the Lincoln senter to watch it in person . My favorites in cat-igory were the jokes they would tell in there songs l hope you go and see it too Remember cats can’t smile but you can so show it of!

Do I even have to say how much better this is than the 2019 nightmare? Cats was always the butt of jokes when I was doing theatre. I watched it after stumbling across a musical analysis on YouTube and now I’m hooked! The performers in this are fantastic. The show really is a testament to what a simple concept and simple staging can do to tell a story and give an audience a good time. This will always be the definitive cats for me

This version is by far my favorite, it puts the new one to shame and this was made back before the 2000s. The costumes look so pretty, and I haven’t heard any other versions that have better music in my opinion. All around a great performance.

I have advice. You may think from a trailer or what you’ve seen of it “Oh this is creepy!” You have to look past the costumes, assuming the creepy part is the costumes. If you actually pay attention to the detail, the costumes and makeup are stunning! Don’t judge a book by its cover. Come into this movie / musical with an open mind. If you just pay attention to what you dislike, it won’t be fun to watch. You’ll learn to love it. If you want to become a dancer like me learn the choreography while watching it. Cats 2019 may have ruined it for you, don’t worry. It ruined it for all the fans. We are just pretending it didn’t exist. (I personally liked it though...) This version is way different. A lot better if you ask me. I suggest watching this movie without your kids. It’s a little sexual. Just a heads up. Most importantly, I hope you like the movie! I have wait for so long to get this on itunes. Ever since I had the ipod video. Ages ago haha one of my favorite musicals of all time!

True that there is not much of a plot to Cats, (mostly just cats singing about who they are and what they do) however the main premise is about a bunch of cats that gather together at a junkyard on a special night in hopes to be chosen by their patriarch to ascend to the Heaviside layer in order to be born into a new life. This production has fantastic music, cleaver lyrics, incredible makeup & costumes, beautiful set design, and amazing talent. My favorite performer being Elaine Paige as the devastatingly tragic Grizabellla, but I also love the bright eyed Jemima, the sassy Bombalurina and her counterpart Demeter, and the mischievous Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer. I highly recommend this musical and strongly emphasize this specific version (not 2019). After all this is basically the Cats definitive edition.

Still by far one of the best cats performances! I’m so happy they finally have this on iTunes. Just saw the new one at the theater and this one puts that awful thing to shame!
